MICROBOX ImageCOM Computer Output Microfilm Device is designed for the long-term storage of digital data on roll film. Once archived, documents can be read in today and in the future simply by magnifying or scanning.
The storage is disaster tolerant and meets highest legal requirements. Once they are archived, an afterward change of the documents is not possible.
All common archving systems today allow users a quick access to documents that have been generated within the last 5 or maybe 10 years.
Some of these documents have to be stored for 15, 20, 50 or even 100 years, due to governmental regulations. In this case, five challenges have to be considered:
- 1. Logical durability (migration to newer system may cause data loss),
- 2. Physical durability of media,
- 3. Life cycle of software,
- 4. Life cycle of operating systems,
- 5. External factors (breaches, viruses, fire, water, negligent and deliberate manipulation etc.).
ImageCOM is designed to safeguard digital data on microfilm. You can combine high availability with the highest security - use our archive writer as a backup/archiving solution for most valuable documents along with your Digital Data Storage system.
You can print up to 600 A0-sized documents (or up to 40000 A4) on a standard 35 mm rollfilm (30m), preserving the quality. Metadata is added automatically at the beginning and at the end of laser tape. It is optimized for OCR.
